2019 Regional National History Day Competition
NDSU’s Department of History, Philosophy, and Religious Studies is bringing back the Fargo National History Day Regional! On Friday, February 15, 2019 in the Memorial Union, middle and high school students will present their projects and compete for a spot in the NHD state competition on April 12, 2019 at the North Dakota Heritage Center and Museum (Bismarck, North Dakota). Select winners at the state level will earn the chance to compete in the National Contest at the University of Maryland, College Park on June 9-13, 2019.
Triumph and Tragedy in History
The NHD theme this year is “Triumph and Tragedy in History.” According to the NHD brochure, “

The competition is divided by grade level (middle and high school) and by categories. They can be completed individually or as a group. The categories are:
